Fitting A Child Restraint

Step 1: Locate Anchor Point

Firstly locate your vehicles child restraint anchor point.

This will be located somewhere on the back seat or in the boot area. Check your vehicles manual for the exact location if required.

NOTE: Some vehicles don’t have an anchor point pre-attached and you will need to fit an anchor kit.

Attach & Tighten Tether Strap — Fulgi’s South Coast Automotive and Dismantling in Nowra, NSW

Step 2: Secure Seat

Once you have located or fitted anchor points, attach and tighten the tether strap to secure the child restraint in place.

NOTE: Make sure the seat is tightly secured but don’t allow the base of the child restraint seat to lift off the car seat.

Step 3: Attach Seat Belt

Feed the ‘Lap Sash’ seat belt through the seat belt guide located on the side of the headrest.

NOTE: The guide is designed to keep the seatbelt away from your child’s neck and face.

Step 4: Adjust Seat

Adjust the height of the head rest so that the seatbelt stretches comfortably across your child’s chest. This is done using the red button located on the back of the headrest.

Step 5: Clip In Seat Belt

Clip the seatbelt into the correct buckle. Secure the lap belt comfortably and securely around the child and allow the sash to spool back any excess slack.
